Ingredients for decorationsoptional
1/4 cup milk
1 cup colored sugar granules
Directions
1. Cream the butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until smooth using an electric mixer. Add the eggs and mix until combined.
2. Sift all the remaining dry ingredients in a separate large mixing bowl and mix well. With the mixer on low, slowly add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture until a dough forms
3. Remove dough from the bowl and wrap in plastic wrap; place in refrigerator until firm, two to four hours.
4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease cookie sheets.
5. Remove dough from refrigerator and allow dough to sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes, until pliable. Divide dough in half and place on floured work surface. Using a rolling pin, roll the dough out until about 1/8 inch thick. While rolling, flour the work surface and rolling pin as needed.
6. Cut out desired cookie shapes with cookie cutters. Transfer cookies to a greased cookie sheet, placing them 1 inch apart.
7. Lightly brush cookies with milk and sprinkle with sugar granules as desired.
8. Bake until firm and edges begin to darken, 10-14 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on the cookie sheet for a minute, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Cook’s notes: You can find star anise in the ethnic aisle in your local grocery store. To get the best flavor from this spice, you will need to grind the whole star anise pod. For the neatest edges, dip your cookie cutters in flour before cutting out each cookie.

Sorry, I'm a little excited. As you might or might not have known this is going to be my *count on fingers* ....8 or 9th trip to the most Magical Place on EARTH!!!!
We keep going back for some reason...OH, yeah IT'S AWESOME!!!

One of my very dear friends C had introduced a book to me....about DISNEY WORLD!
Called the "Kingdom Keepers"
This is the first and the best book...so far.
First one: Disney After Dark takes place in The Magic Kingdom.
The Second one: Disney at Dawn, takes place in Animal Kingdom.
The Third one: Disney in Shadows, is in Epcot (this is the book I'm in now).
The Forth one: Power Play, is in Disney's MGM or Hollywood Studios.
AND I just found out that there's another one. YEP number Five, it supose to take place on a Disney Cruse Line!!!
I couldn't save this picture for Photo Friday I had to show this to you. In this pic there's me on the far left. And yes, I do look like I'm singing very high pitch but I'm screaming. : P Gabe is on the far right and he really looks likes he's screaming, well lets just say I could here him over the obnoxious Arrow Smith music blaring in my ears. And yes that's my father...the guy to the far bottom right, who looks like he's praising God. : D And...I don't know who that strange lady is sitting next to my dad is.

Here's the memory: Every time I ride this roller coaster (witch has been like 2 or 3 times) I get in line all pumped up. Then when I get inside my stomach runs away. I usually tug on my daddy's arm and tell him that I have changed my mind and I can't go through with it. Then he says I can do it, and he's not getting out of line to bring me to my mother. So I get on the ride and regret it then when I hop off I find it funny to see my face and how scared I look. One time I remember slightly looking over and Gabe's head was down I was FREAKING OUT!!! I thought he was either dead or unconscious. I yelled "Gabe you ok?" Gabe yelled back: "Yeah I don't like this ride anymore." Boy what a great memory.
My best friend just asked a wonderful question on a comment on my last post. She asked: "So what ride is a five out of five?" This is my answer, PETER PAN!!! Not only is Peter Pan the best ride because he's in it, it's a true Disney Classic. BTW the reason Peter Pan is so awesome is because he has red hair. To all you red heads out there (or red heads at heart), you are AWESOME!!!! This is a great video, so enjoy.

Have you EVER dreamed about meeting Peter Pan?
I have :)
So there's this really awesome, super-cool place in Floria called Disney World and guess what??
Not only can you meet Peter Pan, you can also meet Wendy and Tinker Bell!!!!
Here is a great picture and an even better memory.
Ok. First things first.
Two things you need to know about my sister is that (1)
She is the sweetest little girl EVER.
(2) She LOVES Redheads.
(Ariel, Strawberry Shortcake, her best friend Lainey has
beautiful red hair.
And did I mention Ariel?)
This was our first day at Magic Kingdom and we were walking from the castle to Adventure Land
to go ride Pirates. When my younger brother Grayson ran up to my mother yelling,
"MOM!! Guess WHAT?!?! Princess ARIEL is standing in line taking pictures and signing books." Well It just so happened that Lainey had watched The Little Mermaid with Gianna Rose about ten times and introduced her to ALL the characters. Gianna was so EXCITED to see her favorite princess at WDW.
So while she and mom stood in line, for they were the 5th people waiting, paw-paw took me to get her a princess book for Ariel to sign. We probably spent $12.00 on the book but it was worth it.
We returned with the book and she was next in line. Every once in a while she would squeal with delight.
When her turn came, she slowly walked up to Ariel and gave her a big hug. She probably held on for 5 minutes. Then she gave Ariel her book, took about 50 pictures and left Magic Kingdom that day with the biggest smile on her face.
Hello everyone, this blog is inspired my our familys love for Walt Disney World.
Thus the name 'A Walk in the Parks' came to my mothers mind. Thanks Mom :)
All do respect to those who do not like or have never been Diney World you. This is just a little FUN blog that my mother gave me the idea for, and I wanted to share our magic with you. I invite you who have special memories and those who have pictures to join in on the fun. As I start this Magical journey I will be doing a Hidden Mickey Monday post. And TRY my very hardest EVERY Monday to hide one and post on it. Then, I'll have a Photo Friday, where I'll put up a picture and write a funny or good memory.
If you have any good photos of WDW I would LOVE to see them.
